Rest Home Care
Our spacious rest home consists of three wings, Totara, Matai and Rimu and has 27 single bedrooms.
Our shared facilities comprise of a large lounge/entertainment area, sunroom, chapel, dining room, and access to our enclosed outdoor courtyard area and beautiful gardens.
All our standard rooms are single and have a hand basin with bathroom facilities within strolling distance. We are able to offer couples adjacent rooms and they are able to either share a marital bed or share adjoining rooms. Each room has a heater, hand basin, nurse call bell and television connections with private telephone lines and sky connections are also available, although a public phone and television is provided in communal areas
Dementia Care
We have twelve dedicated beds in the Kauri Wing our secure dementia care unit. Residents have the ability to wander freely indoors and outside into the large figure-eight pathed garden which has been specially designed for people with dementia.
We have adopted the "Spark of Life Philosophy of Care" and our individualised rooms are decorated to embrace these concepts.
All staff whom work in the Kauri Wing, have completed specialist training in caring for people with dementia.
Continuing Care
We have 22 beds in shared or single rooms dedicated to continuing care. An experienced team of caring staff are always on duty. Our communal facilities include a large lounge/entertainment area, dining room and large patio with views to our garden.
The 4-bedded shared rooms have conservatories for residents to relax and spend time with friends and whaanau when they visit.
Our two dedicated Palliative Care Rooms have access to private decks so family and friends can visit their loved ones freely. These rooms are equip with ceiling hoists for gentle transferring to ensure pain-free and comfortable care at end of life.
Dual Service - Studio Apartments
Our latest development within the facility are our 11, one-bedroom studio apartments. These spectacular rooms have a separate lounge/dining area, kitchenette, ensuite and private deck that overlooks local farmland. All residents enjoy the privacy and independence of living in an environment, surrounded by their own personal belongings and family treasures.
We take care of all meals, laundry and cleaning. These rooms are certified for either rest home or continuing care, which means residents are able to stay in the same room if their care requirements change.
