Rest Home Care
Our spacious rest home features three wings—Totara, Matai, and Rimu—and offers 27 comfortable single bedrooms.
Shared facilities include a large lounge and entertainment area, a sunroom, chapel, dining room, and easy access to our enclosed outdoor courtyard and beautifully landscaped gardens.
All standard rooms are single and equipped with a hand basin, with bathroom facilities conveniently located nearby. For couples, we can provide adjacent rooms, allowing you to share a marital bed or enjoy adjoining spaces. Each room includes a heater, hand basin, nurse call bell, and television connection. Private telephone lines and Sky TV connections are also available, while communal areas feature a public phone and television for shared use.
Dementia Care
Our Kauri Wing is a secure dementia care unit with twelve dedicated beds. Residents can move freely indoors and enjoy the outdoors in our specially designed garden, featuring a figure-eight pathway that provides a safe and calming environment for people with dementia.
We embrace the Spark of Life Philosophy of Care, and each individual room is thoughtfully decorated to reflect these principles, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere.
All staff working in the Kauri Wing have completed specialist training in dementia care, ensuring compassionate and expert support for every resident.
Continuing Care
We offer 22 beds in a mix of shared and single rooms dedicated to continuing care. Our experienced and compassionate team is on duty around the clock to provide the highest standard of support. Communal facilities include a spacious lounge and entertainment area, a welcoming dining room, and a large patio overlooking our beautiful garden.
Our four-bed shared rooms feature conservatories, creating a relaxing space for residents to spend time with friends and whānau during visits.
For those requiring end-of-life care, we have two dedicated Palliative Care Rooms with private deck access, allowing family and friends to visit freely in a peaceful setting. These rooms are equipped with ceiling hoists for gentle transfers, ensuring pain-free and comfortable care during this important stage of life.
Dual Service - Studio Apartments
Our latest development within the facility is a collection of eleven one-bedroom studio apartments. These stunning apartments feature a separate lounge and dining area, kitchenette, ensuite bathroom, and a private deck overlooking picturesque local farmland. Each resident enjoys the privacy and independence of living in a space surrounded by their own personal belongings and family treasures.
We provide all meals, laundry, and cleaning services, so residents can relax and focus on what matters most. These apartments are certified for both rest home and continuing care, meaning residents can remain in the same comfortable environment even if their care needs change.
