We are a proud not-for-profit Charitable Trust, community-owned and dedicated to providing exceptional aged residential care and retirement living. Our facility offers rest home, dementia, and continuing care in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Our goal is to create the best “Home Away from Home,” delivering a wide range of medical services with trained caregivers and professional support—all within a safe, caring environment.

Meet our Leadership Team

Simon Binzegger
Facility Manager

Simon brings over 20 years of leadership experience in aged residential care to Kimihia. Born and raised in the Waikato, Simon has a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams, ensuring exceptional standards of care, and achieving outstanding audit results. His expertise spans all aspects of facility operations-from compliance and risk management to staff development and resident wellbeing. Simon is passionate about creating a supportive, home-like environment for residents and fostering strong relationships with families and the wider community.

Leanne Garrick
Finance Officer

Leeanne has an extensive and varied knowledge of aged residential care services, administration and financial processes. Leeanne has been at Kimihia since 2009 and is employed as the Finance Officer.  Leeanne is responsible for overseeing the administration and financial process of the facility.

Denise Holland 
Clinical Educator

Denise returned to Kimihia in 2021 after working here from ’94 to ’99.  For 30 years, she honed her career in Health care, which includes serving as a District Nurse for the Northern Waikato for 17 years. Currently, she is overseeing the training and development of the clinical and care staff and improving the processes that enable efficiency.

Neethu Thomas
Clinical Nurse Leader

Neethu joined Kimihia in 2020 and is a Registered Nurse with over 8 years of clinical experience. She is responsible for the clinical staff and ensures the provision of quality care to our residents, in collaboration with the professionals who interact with them.
