Kimihia celebrates 40 years of operation

In March 2019, Kimihia Home & Hospital celebrated the significant milestone of providing 40 years of residential care service to the Huntly community.  While the majority of the original buildings have been developed or extended the facility today and 18 village units, stand testament of the hard-work, dedication and perseverance from the Huntly and Distrists community and because of the valuable contribution from the Huntly service clubs of the early 1970's.  The concept of a residential home for the aged started in September 1972, when it was agreed that the MP of the District, the Hon. Doug Carter was approached to have the project placed on the list to receive funding from central government.

To today, we remain a Community owned and operated aged residential care facilty and we provide a rangee of services to our local community.
